Every trailer, and the vehicle that is towing it.

InSight BLE follows what a tracker is never fitted to. A small battery beacon goes on the trailer, caravan or implement, and the tracker in the towing vehicle hears it — so your clients see which vehicle has each item, and where every one was left.
  • Which vehicle is towing what, live
  • Where each item was left, and for how long
  • No tracker, SIM or wiring on the equipment
  • Alerts by email and WhatsApp
Trackerserver — InSight BLE, the live map with a trailer being towed

The six screens of InSight BLE.

Live map

Every vehicle and every item of equipment on one map: what is being towed and by which vehicle, what is at home in a yard, and what is parked away and for how long.

Beacons

The register of what your clients tow: each item's asset number, registration, licence expiry and photo, the vehicles that may tow it, and when its next service is due.

Sensors

The same register for equipment fitted with a sensor, which adds the temperature and humidity inside and whether a door is open.

History

The road an item was towed along, tow by tow, with where it was hitched and where it was let go.

Reports

Seven reports, exported or scheduled: the towing record, equipment use, days on site, standing idle and more.

Settings

The rules for vehicles and for equipment, the zones around each yard, yard listeners and the linking app.

A register of everything your clients tow.

Each item is a row: what it is, how it stands, which vehicle is towing it or where it was left, and the charge left in its beacon.

One filter gathers what needs somebody's eye — a low battery, a service or licence coming due, an item that is not back when it should be.

  • Asset number, registration, licence expiry and a photo
  • Service due by distance towed, by time, or both
  • Keep an item to the vehicles that may tow it
  • Import a list from a spreadsheet, and print QR labels

Where it went, and what took it there.

History opens on an item's most recent tow and draws the road it travelled, with the hitch and the let-go marked and the speed along the way.

Choose a longer period and every tow in it is listed with the vehicle that did the towing, how far it went and why the item was let go.

  • Played back like any vehicle's journey
  • The vehicle, the times and the distance of each tow
  • What a vehicle is towing shows on its own trips and playback too

Know when a trailer is not where it should be.

Rules watch the vehicles and the equipment, and an alert says who is told when one fires — by email, WhatsApp or both, with a map link when the place is known. The module comes with rules of its own, and your clients can write more.

Left behind

A vehicle drives away and what it was towing stays, somewhere that is not one of its zones.

Not back

An item is still out after the hours it is allowed, or past the date it was due back.

The wrong vehicle

An item kept to chosen vehicles is hitched by another.

Left the yard

A yard listener stops hearing an item, and none of the account's vehicles has it.

Towing too fast

A vehicle goes over the limit your client sets while something is hitched.

Off without its trailer

A vehicle that should not leave without its trailer drives with nothing hitched.

Too warm, too cold, door open

A sensor stays outside its limits, or its door is opened or left open.

Battery, service and licence

A beacon's battery is running down, a service is due, or a licence is about to run out.

Fit the beacon, scan it, name it.

The linking app is for whoever fits the beacons. Scan the code on the device — or pick it from the ones a vehicle has just heard — then name it and say what it is fitted to.

It opens on any phone at your platform's own address, under your logo, with nothing to install.

Reports your clients can bill from.

Seven reports, built, exported and scheduled like every other report on the platform.

Towing Record

Every hitch in the period: which vehicle towed each item, from when to when, how far, and why it was let go.

Days on Site

Every stretch an item stood somewhere between tows, named for the zone, geofence or street — what equipment hire is billed from.

Equipment Use

Times towed, days in use, hours hitched and kilometres towed for each item, and the vehicle that towed it most.

Standing Idle

Everything that is not being towed, longest since its last tow first.

Also in the list: Equipment Status, Sensor Temperatures, and Register and Service.

Yards, and equipment that goes missing.

Zones

Draw a zone around each yard or depot, or use a geofence the account already has. Inside one of its zones an item is at home; anywhere else it is parked away, named for the geofence or street it stands in.

Yard listeners

A tracker fixed at the gate or in the store hears what stands in the yard all day, so equipment at home is confirmed rather than assumed.

Lost and stolen

Mark an item lost or stolen and the account is told when a vehicle or a yard listener next hears it. Accounts on your platform can choose to look out for each other's equipment, and only the place and the time are passed on.

Nothing to wire, and no second SIM.

The beacon on the equipment runs on its own battery. The tracker already in the vehicle does the rest, and the platform sets it up over the air.

  • Teltonika EYE beacons, and EYE sensors for temperature, humidity and doors
  • Heard by Teltonika trackers with Bluetooth
  • Each account sees only its own equipment
  • The assistant answers for equipment too: “where is trailer 12?”, “what is the Hilux towing?”

Questions, answered.

What is InSight BLE?

Trailer and equipment tracking without a tracker on the equipment. A small battery beacon goes on each trailer, caravan or implement, and the tracker in the towing vehicle hears it. The platform shows which vehicle is towing each item, where each one was left and for how long, plays back every tow, and raises an alert when equipment is left behind, is not back when it should be, or is hitched by the wrong vehicle.

What does InSight BLE need on the vehicle and on the trailer?

A Teltonika tracker with Bluetooth in each towing vehicle, and a Teltonika EYE beacon or EYE sensor on each item of equipment. The platform sets the tracker up over the air. The equipment itself needs no tracker, SIM card or wiring — the beacon runs on its own battery.

Can I choose which modules my platform has?

Yes. Every module is available and you choose which to switch on when you enquire — dashcams, fuel, sensors, CANbus, driver manager, maintenance, InSight Mesh, InSight BLE and the rest. You can add or remove them later.
